The Ship dating app offered a unique twist by allowing users to swipe on behalf of their friends, turning the search for a soulmate into a collaborative effort. While users could certainly swipe for themselves, the app's draw was the ability to involve friends in the quest for a perfect match or a date for Friday night. The project was a collaborative effort between Match, responsible for the technology, and Betches, which contributed to the overall branding and concept. In my role as Senior Graphic Designer, I played a pivotal role in shaping Match Group's visual direction, ensuring that it aligned with the app's unique concept and branding. Additionally, I led the copywriting efforts to effectively convey the app's value proposition and features.
Contributions:
Visual Direction: Led the visual direction for the app, ensuring that it resonated with the Betches concept and branding.
Copywriting Leadership: Led the copywriting efforts to effectively communicate the app's value proposition, features, and unique collaborative approach while staying true to the Betches unapologetic tone.
Collaboration: Collaborated with teams from both Match and Betches to ensure that the app's design and messaging were cohesive and aligned with the overall vision.
This project highlighted my leadership role in shaping the visual and messaging aspects of the Ship dating app, which offered a fresh and collaborative approach to online dating.
